E46 M3 with APEX ARC-8s from Gabriel Milori Photography

The Photo

Our friend Gabriel from Gabriel Milori Photography submitted the photograph for this week’s Wallpaper Wednesday. He gave us some insight to his creative process for this photo.

“The owner of this E46 M3 was going to be in Santa Barbara for only a day and a half, and we knew we wanted to get some photos done. We decided to do it at sunrise, so we began to look for a suitable location around 4:30am and drove out about 40 minutes inland into the rolling hills of the valley east of Santa Barbara. From there, it was just a better chance of finding some roads that were secluded enough. We ended up stumbling into a cattle ranch and wandered in. Trying to not make eye contact with the bulls, we shot for the next few hours. The goal was to get some nice natural light shots to show off how subtle the car actually is, hiding what a complete monster is underneath.”

Huge thanks to Gabriel Milori Photography for this contribution to Wallpaper Wedenesday! Visit Gabriel’s portfolio on his Website and find him on Facebook.

The Car

This BMW E46 M3 is an absolute monster. It cranks out over 900HP at the wheels thanks to a low compression motor built by Portland company, LAB22. With more modifications, custom parts, and one-off setups than you can shake a stick at, this car may be one of the most well-equipped, high-performance builds we’ve ever seen. Isn’t that front end just absolutely menacing? We think so.

The Modification List

  • Low compression motor by LAB22
  • Precision 71mm billet turbo (PT7168)
  • Tial 44mm wastegate
  • Custom LAB22 hidden surge tank
  • DrVanos.com rebuilt vanos
  • AEM Performance Electronics Infinity Standalone Engine Management System

  • German Audio Specialties crossover and amp enclosure
